Our Story
It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special.
In first grade, I dreamt of becoming a teacher and would direct plays with my parents in our apartment. I would, of course, play the part of a very charismatic English teacher and plan extravagant, scholarly lessons. By fifth grade I had my entire life planned out, down to the first year I would become a teacher. Seventh grade, I took a World Civilizations class and marveled at how far society had come from the Sumerian language of the Mesopotamians to the Google search engine on iPhones. In ninth grade, I explored my first job, virtually tutoring immigrant kids in successfully speaking English. The older I grew, the more responsibilities I had, and the more I realized how privileged I was to have access to an extensive technological support system. As my passions shifted towards social justice and law in tenth grade, the idea of TechBridge was born. I wanted to help kids from a similar background gain access to the same opportunities that I had, the main focus being on donating computers for schools and working with the schools & local governments to organize digital literacy events.
Techbridge Education is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a group of volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to achieve our goals successfully.
